The whole school have had an excellent week. In Year 6, we have been rewriting ‘The Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens in our own words. Next, in Year 5, they have been writing a prequel to The Heavenly Elephant. They have now finished their cookery lessons and are planning their Macbeth theatre boxes. In Year 4, they have been making Tudor knot biscuits for the Bramleyham Tudor day. Also, in maths, they have been learning time. In Year 3, one class made gingerbread and the other made sugar fruit.
Into Roundwood now, Year 2 have been learning how to tell the time and improving their punctuation. Year 1, however, have been learning their 2, 5 and 10 times tables and writing stories about Katy Morag. Another year down, in Reception, they have been making rockets out of junk and practising their dances for the nativity.
