Recovery Curriculum March 2021

Since the return to the school on 8th March, the teachers have implemented a recovery curriculum to aid the smooth transition for all children into school and learning.

Our recovery curriculum is focussing on developing good well-being and promoting key skills such as, independence and teamwork through planned outdoor learning activities, PSHE sessions and circle time sessions. Teachers are aware that everyone’s experience of lockdown has been different, so they will be adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of the children in their class.

Teachers are also ensuring the children are having plenty of opportunities to reconnect with friends and exercise. English and maths sessions are continuing to be taught daily and the majority of the learning is based around each year group’s topic.

The whole school completed engaging, cross curricular series of lessons linked to Aaron Becker, Quest.
