Year 1 learning from home
Year 1 – Moving on to Year 2
Over the next two weeks we would like you to complete some activities to share with your new teacher. This will help your teacher get to know you before September.
You could complete the activities and email them via hw@new-ash.kent.sch.uk. Please put your name and new teacher in the subject bar.
Or you could take photographs of the activities and email the photographs.
Or you could put the activities in an envelope and hand them in to the office before the end of term 6.

As well as the activities above, there will also be 2Dos set on Purple Mash.
Remember: BBC Bitesize is continuing with daily fun lessons. All of the lessons from June are available for each year group on the website. They are definitely worth looking at if you have not already done so.
During the summer holiday, it would be wonderful if you could continue to encourage your child to read regularly.
Reading is so important and reading a little (or a lot!) and often makes a huge difference.
As well as books from home, you could use:
Oxford Owls for Home https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/
Libraries are starting to re-open from 13th July. A new ‘select and collect’ service will temporarily replace bookshelf browsing. Gravesend and Dartford libraries are among the 12 re-opening on this date.
