Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
A Big Thank you for your support.
We would like to thank our parents and carers for their kind generosity last term for supporting our PTA in raising £229.50 for the Non-Uniform Day held on the last day of Term 2, as well as a fantastic £761.60 from funds raised by all the Presents for Parents before Christmas.
A big thank you to our PTA.
Without the support of our PTA and the generosity of our parents and carer, the school would not be able to benefit from all of the wonderful fundraising events which usually take place throughout the year. Despite the unusual times we have all experienced this year, we are delighted to announce that the PTA were still able to donate a fabulous £1,500 for the provision of new library books for all the children at the school to enjoy, as you can see below!
We have great pleasure in announcing the new Chair of the PTA, Mrs Airlie, who will be taking over the role from Mrs Glithero. Mrs Dinham-Milner will continue her role as Treasurer.
We would also like to thank Mrs Glithero for all of her invaluable support and hard work over the years as the Chair of the PTA.
If any parents or carers wish to join the PTA to help out with any school events, please do get in contact via nagpta@outlook.com

New Ash Green Primary School has an energetic friendly and hard-working PTA which organises fund-raising events throughout the school year. We understand that there are many pressures on time and money, so in recent years the PTA has concentrated on regular events that are a mix of fun times for the children and easy money-making ventures, such as the recent successful recycling schemes.
The PTA seeks to raise funds to benefit the children in school. There are some events which the PTA pays for in total on a regular basis such as visits into school for all children from KIC Theatre, a visiting pantomime for all children to enjoy at Christmas and the funding of gifts and the disco for year 6 leavers. The PTA also renewed sports kit last year for our teams and have helped the choir.
Other events are put on by the PTA working with the staff for everyone to enjoy. There are fairs at Christmas and in the summer, cake sales and non-uniform days. There have been successful and popular Pamper evenings for ladies as well as entertaining Quiz nights and a circus, which the PTA would hope to repeat in the future.
Second Hand Uniform
Jayne Mcarthy is now the lady who deals with second hand uniform. If you have any items to donate or would like to purchase any items please contact Jayne via the PTA email above. Thank you for your support.
We are all parents of children at New Ash Green who give up their time and energy to organise the events we put on. Some of them are very time consuming so new people and willing helpers are always welcome. The PTA is affiliated to the NCPTA (National Council of Parent Teacher Associations) and abide by their constitution. This means there must be an AGM, Chair and Treasurer with minutes kept. There should also be teacher representatives. A great strength of New Ash Green PTA is that there is great teamwork and that we organise everything ourselves. A lot of PTA’s now buy events in at great expense. Our aim is to keep costs as low as possible.
