J.K. Rowling

We are J.K. Rowling class and we are as magical as our name suggests. We are thoroughly enjoying our time in Year 6 and are keen to take on responsibilities and roles within the school Every member of the class is an enthusiastic learners who strives to live by the school curriculum values of self-motivation, challenge, inspiration, curiosity, resilience and independence We enjoy a wide range of activities, especially sport, art and writing. We also love exploring new texts and finding out about fascinating periods of history. We are looking forward to another year of exciting challenges where we can be the best that we can be!

Term 4

J.K.Rowling’s Wizards took part in a theatre workshop about Operation Dynamo as part of their World War 2 topic.

They looked at photographs from the evacuation of Dunkirk and considered how different characters would be feeling and would interact. They were so enthusiastic and enjoyed thinking about their learning in a new way.

Year 6 took part in an immersion day around the topic of World War Two. The children were ‘evacuated’ to countryside and learnt about life for evacuees, rationing, air raids and code breaking. They had wonderful day and were so enthusiastic.

J.K.Rowling’s wizards took part in a rugby tournament. Everyone played wonderfully and enjoyed showing off their new skills. We all got very muddy!

J.K.Rowling’s wizards have been learning about the General Election. We have created political parties and will be campaigning before our own mock election on the 12th December.​
